We were getting so frustrated with our chocolate lab Dani. She was running our house and our grandkids couldn't come over without us having to lock her up. Garrett has done an amazing job with getting our Dani girl under control and teaching us the steps to continue her training. It is so nice to actually be able to enjoy time with our girl.

Whenever I dropped Kudrow off, he had all the drive in the world, but was struggling on control. Now after his time with Garrett, he still has all that drive, and amazing content with whistle and hand signals. Garrett is amazing at what he does and a pleasure to work with. He will call you or text you back no matter the time of day, and even keeps in touch with you after you pick your dog up to check in on how you and your dog are doing. I have a Sheppard breed rescue that I got on St. Patrick’s day. She a beautiful dog and very sweet. Although, I was dealing with some bad behavior issues and I was starting to think I wouldn’t be able to keep her. A friend of mine suggested I call Backwoods Retriever Training. Garrett took in Klover for a four week behavioral training program. Towards the end of the program he spent three days training me as well. He took great care to address the issues we were having. I just got my pup back yesterday and she is a delight to be around. I am able to go on peaceful walks with her, and she respects my authority. With this new improved version of my dog I am able to to enjoy her company and not be concerned about her behavior. I could not be happier with her training and her trainer. We made the decision to drive Carl for training with Garrett. Carl now heels, stays and walks on & off leash. Garrett was great with our updates since we couldn’t interact with Carl along the way. We would make the trip all over again for the next puppy.
